In the mid-60's, the Salt City Six appeared on college campuses around the country with a unique concert presentation of traditional jazz called "Dixieland Jazz, U.S.A."  It featured a commentary by Downbeat Magazine columnist and Jazz Magazine Associate Editor, George Hoefer, on the development of jazz by the immortals, including Bunk Johnson, King Oliver, Bix Beiderback, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and others. It was originated and produced by the Salt City Six manager, Arnold Koch.

Musicians: Jack Maheu, clarinet; Dick Barrs, cornet; Hans Kuenzel, trombone; Al D'Lano, piano; Don Newcomb, bass; Charlie Cameron, drums.
